Panchalingeswar, 15 minutes walk from Roopark, named after the five 'LINGAS' of Shiva that are enshrined in the temple is located on top of a hillock near the Nilagiri hills. The lingams are said to have been enshrined by Sita, the consort of Lord Rama during the period of their exile while another story holds that it was King Banasura himself who installed the lingams at this place given the tranquility and captivating beauty of the place. A perennial stream, which is the main attraction of the area regularly, washes the lingams as it flows over them. In order to touch and worship the lingams one has to lie flat on the rock parallel to the stream.
Situated at the Mayurbhanj District, 86km from Roopark, also called as Satipith, Myth says that waist portion of Sati fallen here during Shiva Tandav. Deokund, a beautiful scenic spot amidst green forests, has picturesque waterfall. The hill top temple of Goddess Ambika is a special attraction of the place.
This sanctuary is located in the district of Balasore and is blessed with a charming forest and a variety of wildlife such as tiger, leopard, elephant, gaur, sambar, giant squirrel, and a number of bird species like hill myna, peafowl, hornbills and various reptiles. The sanctuary is linked with Similipal through Sukhupada hills and Nato hill ranges. Trekking from Nilagiri amidst Kuldiha forests is worth enjoying.
