Panchalingeswar

Panchalingeswar, 15 minutes walk from Roopark, named after the five 'LINGAS' of Shiva that are enshrined in the temple is located on top of a hillock near the Nilagiri hills. The lingams are said to have been enshrined by Sita, the consort of Lord Rama during the period of their exile while another story holds that it was King Banasura himself who installed the lingams at this place given the tranquility and captivating beauty of the place. A perennial stream, which is the main attraction of the area regularly, washes the lingams as it flows over them. In order to touch and worship the lingams one has to lie flat on the rock parallel to the stream.

Devkund

Situated at the Mayurbhanj District, 86km from Roopark, also called as Satipith, Myth says that waist portion of Sati fallen here during Shiva Tandav. Deokund, a beautiful scenic spot amidst green forests, has picturesque waterfall. The hill top temple of Goddess Ambika is a special attraction of the place.

Kuldiha

This sanctuary is located in the district of Balasore and is blessed with a charming forest and a variety of wildlife such as tiger, leopard, elephant, gaur, sambar, giant squirrel, and a number of bird species like hill myna, peafowl, hornbills and various reptiles. The sanctuary is linked with Similipal through Sukhupada hills and Nato hill ranges. Trekking from Nilagiri amidst Kuldiha forests is worth enjoying.

Chandipur

The calm beach at Chandipur is surely one among many of the fine beaches of the country, but with a plus there the waters of the Sea recede five kms. off shore and proceed rhythmically after a regular interval. The sand-dunes green with wild creepers and the casuarinas whistling with the breeze create a fantastic moment for a visitor. 16 Kms. by road from Balasore.

Ayodhya

Ayodhya where assimilation of Jainism, Budhism, Baishnavism, Tantraism Saivism, Sakthism took place. The place was flourished as a town or it was a capital of a kingdom, still the time is not known. A large number of images ( remains ) have been unearthed from the site. Among them Buddha, Jains, Pareshnath, Shiva, Gonesh, Natraj, Bhairabi, Maricha, Baraha,Tara are famous. 30 Kms. from Balasore.

Rupkhanda Beach

Sea Coast and fishing harbor situated at a distance of 45 Kms from Roopark, towards south west of Balasore. It’s a pleasure to watch the sunrise from this place.
